Sawhaa Projects
We work at grass root levels and provide activities in schools, community centres and venues that are close and accessible for the ladies as majority of them do not have transport and not enough finance for taxi's or buses. Below are some activities SAWHAA provides:
- Emotional Well-being

In these sessions the women get to know about different mental health illnesses, i.e. what is stress, depression, anxiety, panic attacks and so forth. These discussions have helped the ladies improve their quality of life and have given them an insight to what mental health illnesses entail and how they can look after themselves and other family member / friends.
- Provide one to one support

As many of the women at first find it difficult to go out and seek help, the women get the opportunity to seek assistance on a one to one basis. We find out what the women require and provide to their needs accordingly.
- Social Gathering

These groups meets once a week, in which the ladies get the opportunity to socialise, have a laugh, share experiences (good/bad).
- Exercise

These sessions are extremely popular as this is what the women feel has helped them improve their physical and mental well-being.
- Tajweed / spiritual healing

The ladies enjoy this activities as they feel turning to God when suffering any problem helps ease they everyday worries / problems.
- Aromatherapy / Massage

This is another popular session, the benefits are that it has helped the women to relax, relieve tension and has improved their overall emotional well-being
